System Configuration Administrator

Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Transformation team in the IT Services Department for a System Configuration Administrator.

The breadth of systems used at City & County Healthcare Group ranges from Time & Attendance, BI Tools, Electronic Care Planning / Medication Management Systems, E-Learning Management platforms, bespoke recruitment, payroll, and finance products, with further applications coming online in the near future.

The role will mainly focus on the system administration and core configuration of business IT applications on a day to day basis. Configuration work will typically be project based and involve the setup of new databases for core applications as well as business as usual duties, involving the management of changes within these core applications.

The role will support the Systems Development Manager in driving forward change within the Group. This will involve the continual development of the applications through both internal configuration layer changes and also working with third party suppliers to assist in the development of the product roadmaps. As well as other tasks, the post holder will be responsible for managing change requests, make relevant changes in the systems and supporing process documents.

The role works closely with other teams in the business, within IT and Key Stakeholders in our branch network and therefore excellent relationship, team working and communication skills are a must.

If you have the following skills and experience, we would really like to hear from you:   

  • Working technical knowledge of electronic healthcare applications, web based applications and mobile device applications.
  • Working knowledge of change management methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of the Software development life cycle
  • Extensive knowledge of the healthcare and social care sector
  • Technical skills to manage applications, databases and reporting tools
  • Analytical skills with both complex and simple toolsets
  • Working knowledge of Prince2 and Agile Project Management methods
  • Structured and organized with both themselves and their team
  • Technical experience with systems, networking, databases, Web development, and user support.

Experience of working in reasonably complex people centric business environment such as retail, healthcare, recruitment etc. would be advantageous.
